Abstract:

Macaflan Confection in  Gitnang Bukid, Brgy. Bañadero, Calamba City offered two of the most favorite local desserts, leche flan and macaroons in a pie crust called Macaflan Pie. Sold at a low price, Macaflan Pie’s quality was not compromised. The business competitors were Red Ribbon, Goldilocks, and small bakeries. With the principals in-charge of the production, the raw materials were easily acquired and delivered because of the proximity of supplier to the plant location. Utilities, such as electricity, water, and communication were also made available.
