This descriptive study developed a system that monitors the automation of the usual hydroponics using SMS technology. It intended to provide comfort to farmers whenever they are not in the area. The system used GSM module and shield that acts as the communicator between the user and the system and the common hydroponics system components that serves as the hardware of the automation parts. The microcontroller turns on the Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and the water pump if necessary. Data were gathered through observation during the testing of the prototype.
