Abstract:

One major component of notification systems, whether for residential, commercial or industrial applications, is the detection of location of fault. The means by which fault is detected is diverse due to many available technology. This study sought to detect fault or breakage with the use of a tie domain reflect meter by constructing an innovative fault or breakage locator system equipped with a notification feature. It used Ethernet and later networks to communicate with the user and it was controlled by an Application Programming Interface.
