Abstract:

This study aimed to improve the alarm system of PLDT AG cabinets in Dita, Santa Rosa City to reduce pilferage. The researchers proposed three alternatives which included the installation of audible alarm system with SMS notification and audible siren; installation of hidden camera with motion detector, MMS alert, and audible siren; and installation of IP camera with audible siren. Each alternative was presented with technical design, procedures, design calculations, and specifications of sets of equipment and materials. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of every alternative were also cited. The parameters considered by the researchers in choosing the best alternative were the cost, the speed, and reliability.
