IMPROVEMENT OF MAIN CIRCUIT BREAKER SYSTEM’S RELIABILITY AT AUTOMOTIVE AIR-CONDITIONING TECHNOLOGY OF THE PHILIPPINES

Abstract:

Automotive Air-conditioning Technology Philippines, Inc. (ATP) is one of the major suppliers, installers and exporters of automotive air-conditioning systems and components. The company’s operation stopped because of power blackout and malfunction of equipment and the main circuit breaker. To decrease the occurrence of such, the researchers presented three alternatives, namely, (1) Circuit Breaker Monitoring and Analysis for enhanced maintenance, (2) Automation of Sub Circuit Breaker using Programmable Logic Controller for automatic switching and (3) replacement of the current equipment using Air Circuit Breaker for improved technology of the main circuit breaker.
