Abstract:

E-bricks is a 4” x 8” x 2” concrete brick reinforced with solid wastes materials such as recyclable plastic and human hair. This study determined the feasibility of producing e-bricks, making it profitable and increasing market distinction over the other available bricks in the market. The researchers aimed to produce bricks with better compressive strength and impermeability using human hair to combine the concrete materials. The proponents’ target market consisted of residents of Calamba City, Cabuyao City, Sta Rosa City and Biῆan City while the selected production site was San Vicente, Binan Laguna because of easy access and nearness to the target market. The e from e-bricks means environmental friendly and economical. Capital investment needed to start the business was Php 5,148,386.20 which would come from partners’ equal capital distribution. The project would have a payback period of 3.81 years. Proper waste disposal would be implemented. Workers from the nearby community would be hired.
