The study focused on the contribution of Mer-Nel’s chocolate cake on the food tourism industry in Los Baños, Laguna. Specifically, it determined 1) the reasons why tourists visit Los Baños, Laguna; 2) the attributes of Mer-Nel’s chocolate that make the people buy the product; 3) the role of Mer-Nel’s chocolate cake in promoting tourism in Los, Baños, Laguna; and 4) the ways on how it strengthened its role as one of the key players in the food tourism industry in Los Baños, Laguna. Using the descriptive design, the researchers conducted interviews with five randomly chosen customers, the marketing and operation’s supervisor of Mer-Nel’s Cake House, and the officer from the Tourism Municipal Office. Data were analyzed based on the established themes and were presented through narrative form and direct quotation.
