CARAMOAN ISLAND, CAMARINES SUR: AN INTEGRATED COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE

Abstract:

This research evaluated the application of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) in Caramoan’s Tourism Master Plan (TMP) using qualitative approach. It explained the possible reasons for the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of formal coastal zone planning and management in Caramoan Island. The study interviewed nine respondents: one government official, one department head, two business representatives, and four residents as their respondents that all came from Caramoan.
