METAPHYSICS OF MORALS OF IMMANUEL KANT: AN INSIGHT TO THE STUDENT AFFAIRS AND DISCIPLINE SERVICES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Abstract:

The study is about the Metaphysics of Morals of Immanuel Kant and its relevance to the Student Affairs and Discipline Services. Its objective was to discuss the moral standards based on a system of pure rational concept that helped why and how the policies and processes issued by the office of the Student Affairs and Discipline Services were enacted. The intention of the researcher was to help the office of the Student Affairs and Discipline Services enhance their service using Immanuel Kant’s Metaphysics of morals in providing an adequate service that caters to the academic needs of the students. The study used a qualitative-descriptive content analysis that provided a thorough discussion on the reasons and meaning of the Metaphysics of Morals. The study presented Metaphysics of Morals as a philosophical foundation that enhanced the Student Affairs and Discipline Services. Thus, having Metaphysics of Morals as a philosophical foundation, the stipulation of policies and processes issued by the office of the Student Affairs and Discipline were effectively enforced.
