The main objective of this study was to design an electrical energy generating device that would charge a 12-volt car battery from waste. The charged energy was used to power-up electronic devices or appliances. The device comprised of a variety of electronic components integrated which achieved the final design. Device features included are Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), indicates the status, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), displays voltage and current values, power inverter, converts 12V direct current (VDC) into 220V alternating current (VAC) and battery charging circuit. The design used experimental development research as method. The conducted evaluation proved the results of the study was fully functional. The data affirmed the efficiency of the features and the functionality of the load (television, electric fan, 2 fluorescent bulbs). With this device, powering-up our household appliances is possible using waste as a source of alternative energy.
