The Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines has issued an Executive Order (E.O.) 358 which mandates the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to design and implement a ladderized system of technical-vocational education program to higher education institutions such as technology and engineering. Relative to this issuance, the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), a state university, in Davao City has agreed to pilot test the ladderization system. The objectives of this pilot test were to define a ladderized education system; determine the technology courses in the mechanical technology and engineering curriculum; determine the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) qualifications embedded in the curriculum and its implementing procedure; to know the profile of faculty handling the embedded TVET qualifications; to determine the pros and cons of ladderized curriculum; and to determine the lessons learned. Using the descriptive method of research, the researcher gathered the data during the interfacing, implementation, and post-execution of memorandum of agreement (MOA) between TESDA XI and USeP. A researcher-made questionnaire was formulated to obtain pertinent information needed in the study. It expounds how ladderization program is being implemented. Results, conclusions and recommendations were provided.
