Development of Educational Quality Assurance of Educational Institutions: A Case Study of Primary Schools in Thailand

Abstract:

The study aimed to determine the components of educational quality assurance; develop a quality assurance model; and to evaluate the developmental model of educational quality assurance in medium size primary schools. Using purposive sampling in selecting the part, semi-structured interview questions, content analysis, and five-point Likert scale, the researcher found school under investigation completely followed the framework of ministerial regulation on the principles and methods of quality assurance. It was also found that there were three main relationships existed: quality development, quality monitoring, and quality assurance. Interestingly, the school practiced the participatory principle among its staff and quality of teaching and learning in the school was considered as an important factor for the management of the system. Further results on appropriateness, feasibility, value of time were also elaborated.
