On-the-job training (OJT) is a kind of practical experience for students in the field. An effective OJT program reinforces students’ classroom learning and develops their core skills. This evaluative study was conducted to assess the Accountancy and Business Administration (ABA) students’ industry experience. Using an adapted and modified research questionnaire, the researchers obtained the data from 207 ABA students who underwent on the job training. Results showed that the OJT program was rated effective; however, it was noteworthy to notice that students found benefits and incentives fairly effective because they did not receive remuneration for their jobs. Also, some students found their work assignment cannot extensively and meaningfully update or enhance their theoretical knowledge or skills learned in school because they were working on tasks unrelated to their specializations. On the other hand, ANOVA-Tukey results revealed the Marketing Management students found the OJT program least effective compared to accounting trainees.
