ASEAN integration is the tune of the times in all ten-member states. With its implementation, ASEAN people are on the rush to ready themselves to compete with their neighbor countries in all fields and expertise. This descriptive study was conducted to determine the competencies of graduating accountancy students in Davao City and their readiness for the ASEAN economic community. Respondents of the study were graduating accountancy students from universities and colleges in Davao City. Most of the institutions were level I and III accredited. The results showed that majority of the respondents were within 19-22 years old and were predominantly females; that respondents had high competency in accountancy ethical relationship and analysis competencies and had moderate competency in knowledge and capability competencies. On the other hand, the accounting students’ readiness for the ASEAN Economic Community as indicated at a medium level. The knowledge, capability and analysis competencies proved to significantly predict their level of readiness for the AEC. It also indicated that there was no significant difference on the level of readiness of the graduating accountancy students when grouped according to profile. It further showed that there was a significant relationship between the knowledge, capability and analysis competencies of the graduating accountancy students and their level of readiness for the AEC.
