Anxiety is a state of apprehension, uncertainty and fear resulting from the anticipation of a realistic or fastasized threatening event or situation that is often imparing physical and mental functioning. During examination, students often complain feeling signs of anxiety including having wobbly legs, unable to relax, heart pounding, unsteadiness, nervousness, choking feeling, trembling hands, shakiness, feeling warmer, fear of losing control, breathing difficulty, indigestion, lightheadedness, face flush, hot and cold sweating or even feat of dying. The study tackled the relationship between anxiety and blood glucose level of 3rd year Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) student of UIC. The students’ anxiety level was determined using the standard Beckham Anxiety questionnaire. Their blood glucose was determined by standard test glucose test. Blood collection was done four times: a week before the examination, a day before, during and a week after examination, was used to determine their anxiety level. Results of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) revealed that there is no significant difference between the anxiety level before, during, and after academic examination. However, ANOVA results showed that there is a significant difference between the glucose level before, during and after the academic examination. 2-tailed Test exposed that there is no significant correlation between anxiety and glucose level of the 3rd year MLS students of UIC.
