Abstract:

This study aimed to find out the level of support on educational transition to K to 12 senior high school program in terms of teachers, guidance and parents support. It is a non-experimental quantitative design utilizing survey method. Twenty percent of the total Grade 10 population of selected public and private schools were selected through random sampling to answer the 30-item questionnaire Results revealed that the level of support on educational transition to K to 12 Senior High School Program is very high. Results also revealed that when computed at .05 level of significance there is no significant difference in the level of support to K to 12 senior high school program when categorized according to schools. This implies that teachers delivered necessary service needed by the students; guidance has well-prepared programs and activities that aim to prepare students in their transition to K to 12 senior high school; and the high level of parents support validates parents concern for their children. Moreover, there is no significant difference in the level of support to K to 12 senior high school program when categorized according to schools which means that the support needed by students as they move from junior high school to senior high school is well provided by both public and private schools. To ensure effective transition, a career planning model should be implemented.
