Abstract:

This paper describes a conducive and structured information exchange environment for students of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City. The system was designed to help the students check their academic results, make self-enlistment that would assist the students to manage their academic status that can be viewed in their mobile phones. Rapid Application Development (RAD) was utilized for the system development in order for the researcher to be guided in the complex activities of system development. PHP, as the programming language, was used in the development of the system to make it more dynamic. The strength of MySQL was also utilized for manipulating the database that stores most of the data needed by the system. Different application programs were also utilized to make the interface more appealing to the users who would transact with the college through the system. The researcher made use of ISO 25010 based Likert modified scale type of questionnaire that assesses the system’s acceptability in terms of functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, security, maintainability and portability. The researchers recommend the inclusion of online assessment and payment facility that would accept online payment through credit cards. Likewise, to ensure the security and storage space for most of the resources which will be used by the system, an installation of a web server is also recommended.
