Abstract:

Since the onset of application to medicine, the side effects of ionizing radiation were known to be dangerous and fatal. Thus, those who received the information about the effects of ionizing radiation became frightened to radiation exposure. Following the concept of Psychometric Paradigm, in which, high order factors such as emotional stability and intuitive ability were factors associated with the subject of risk perception. It was found that there was a significant association in the program the students are enrolled, their respective monthly family income, and their perception to ionizing radiation. Furthermore, results showed that there was a significant association among students’ emotional stability, intuitive ability, and their perception of ionizing radiation. It revealed that students with emotional stability and intuitive ability are not afraid of ionizing radiation compared to students who have low emotional and intuitive ability test results.
