Organizational Commitment and Communication Satisfaction among the Personnel of an Academic Institution

Abstract:

Communication satisfaction is defined as contentment with interaction that is associated with the employee's status in the group (Mount and Back 1999). Employees' Satisfaction towards the communication system of the organization is based on the perceptions of the employees about the organization. Although studies on the impact of communication towards commitment in the industries have been disseminated, there are still a dearth of studies that is contextualized on the educational management setting. This paper correlates communication satisfaction and organizational commitment among the faculty and staff of a private educational institution.
