This study dwelt on spirituality as experienced, understood and practiced by the nurse administrators in Bicol, Philippines, from which emerged a model referred to as Transcendental Formation. The description and ways of living out spirituality, as reflected in the behavior at work and the roles performed both as managers and leaders, were derived through the mixed-method research design. Using the Strauss and Corbin method, validated by statistical treatments, the analyzed information created the model that visualized spirituality as a means to apply quality, resolve problems and provide strength in the realm of nursing education and service. Hence, this study recommends the nourishment of spirituality through constant, deep encounter with God, as lived out through individual and communal spiritual practices in short-term and long-term managerial roles and interpersonal and intrapersonal leadership roles.
