Empowering Botolan typhoon evacuees through a beadwork livelihood program

Abstract:

This study, seeking to surface the effects of the beadwork livelihood program of SPU Manila on the lives of selected Botolan evacuees, interviewed 10 participants about the satisfaction of their physiological and psychological needs. They revealed that the livelihood project created an opportunity for evacuees to feel more able to provide for their family and feel better about themselves despite their conditions in the evacuation center and relocation site.
