Factors Affecting the Population Growth among Hospitality Management Students

Abstract:

The essential of enrolling students in Hospitality Management is critical. The purpose of this study was to identify the Factors Affecting the Population Growth among Hospitality Management students of Saint Michael College of Caraga. It aimed to recommend strategies to increase the enrollment in the said department to help the head and the faculties. The respondents were the students of the hospitality management department at Saint Michael College of Caraga. Statistical used to test the hypothesis were weighted mean, correlation, and stepwise regression. The researchers found that two factors significantly affect the population growth of the hospitality management department which is the Articulation and Teaching Performance. Therefore, the institution must enhance the advertising strategies and school visitations to encourage students to enroll in Saint Michael College of Caraga. On the other hand, teachers must also continue to attend trainings and seminars for a masters’ degree for them to be qualified/ licensed professional teachers, they must also continue in enhancing their teaching skills so that the students can perform well in their respective programs.
