This study ascertains the pedagogical advantages of online learning community in sustaining inquiry in science classroom learning. Using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design of the Pre-experimental Designs with 31 respondents, the following are forwarded: the respondents were generally satisfied on the learning benefits of experiencing online learning communities especially on reviewing previous discussion threads; albeit the respondents had comparable perceptions, the fourth year group benefited most in terms of the perceived academic gains in using online learning communities; and, between the average and high ability groups, the average ability group benefited more in the employed online learning communities.
