ELEGY OF A WIFE AND A MOTHER

Abstract:

The study used qualitative research design with case study as strategy of inquiry. Interview and observation were undertaken to gather data that affect the stay-leave decision making process of a woman who is into an abusive relationship. Results showed that a woman may opt to stay and live with her husband despite the difficulties, hardships and mauling she is experiencing from her intimate partner; all because of her love for her children. Indeed, “the love of a mother for her children is undeniably the strongest emotion in the human soul”.
