Abstract:

What students probably care most about teachers is whether they are individuals who are teaching from the heart. Such teachers are perceived as perfect role models and can contribute greatly to students’ academic performance. The foremost attribute that makes some people great teachers would be an innate love for students. It becomes an imperative then that teachers should create bonds with students and must play such roles as psychologist, parent, friend and confidante. They should also instill good morals and manners, as well as the virtues of respect, honesty and truthfulness.
