Personal Financial Management Among Private Employees

Abstract:

An activity involving all the individual financial decisions, including budgeting, saving, insurance, and mortgages is called personal finance. The study focused on the saving, budgeting, and investing practices and how it affects the quality of life in terms of recreation, education, and health among employees of the two identified private firms namely: ASA Philippines Foundation and Micro Ventures Philippines Financing 2 Company Inc. – One Puhunan located in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte. The researchers used descriptive research to determine the level of practices on the personal financial management of private employees and utilizing the survey method to collect the relevant data for the study. The researchers used a complete enumeration in gathering data. The level of personal financial management of private employees as to savings, budgeting, and investing is a good practice that greatly impacted their quality of life. Thus, personal financial management has a significant effect on the quality of life among private employees. It was recommended that the One Puhunan and ASA Philippines Foundation employers continue to expose the employees to financial literacy programs to provide them additional information that they may use in their daily transactions. Moreover, the private employees should invest their money to have an additional income which can be used in the future.
