Abstract:

Saint Michael College of Caraga is an ISO-certified higher education institution among Diocesan schools in Agusan del Norte. The study evaluated the level of readiness of SMCC in terms of Typology as to enrolment, programs, faculty, learning resources and support structures, and linkages and outreach, and Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) as to governance and management, quality of teaching and learning, quality of professional exposure, research, and creative work, support for students, and relations with the community. This study is beneficial to the school administrators, academic heads, students, and society in the implementation to cope with the other requirements that had not been given more attention. Thus, the PDCA Approach on Deming’s theory was the most useful in the study. A Descriptive-survey type of research design was used in the study. The researchers floated questionnaires to heads of office, quality assurance, and internal experts of SMCC, considering the ethical standards and data gathering procedures. Thus, frequency and percentage, weighted mean, and chi-square were employed in treating the data. The study reveals that SMCC is very much ready in ISA and not much ready in typology with no significant difference in the triad respondents’ perception. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommend that SMCC must intensify the faculty development program to be able to comply with the educational qualification of the CHED requirements.
