Abstract:

This study was conducted to assess the work, environmental and time pressures experienced by 61 Bachelor of Science in Office Administration studenttrainees of Quirino State University, Diffun Campus during their on-the-job training. The research was a descriptive study which used a structured questionnaire to gather data and interview to validate answers of respondents. Data gathered were analyzed using appropriate statistical tools. Majority of the respondents were within the 17-19 age range and second year student-trainees. The trainees experienced less serious pressures in work, environment and time at the workplace. Age did not significantly influence the seriousness of pressures experienced by trainees on work and time. However, year level influenced how trainees deal with clients with different moods and conform to office norms. Year level also was a factor of variation on the stressors of trainees like frequent supervision of employees and boss, taking home of works to complete, and meticulous and unpredictable boss.
