This paper reviews the contributions of the University of the East (UE) to the development of the country’s human resources. It looks into the origins of the university, the academic programs that it has offered, the number and quality of graduates that it has produced and what these graduates have contributed to Philippine socioeconomic and national development. The study made use of records of enrollment and graduation, by field of study, in the UE Department of Registration and Records Management (DRRM) and records of the UE Alumni Office. It also looked into the performance of UE graduates in the licensure examinations from pertinent records of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
