Abstract:

COVID-19 infects everyone. This study aims to observe the Graduate School procedures and student demographic profile in predicting worst-case scenarios on infection cases that originate in the office. This serves as a basis for developing an additional layer of safety and preventive measure against COVID-19 in support and compliance with the government advisory on pandemic protocols. The interview and observation were used to collect data. Most of the students belong to the age 25-30 while very few fall under 51-55. The worst-case prediction appears in the municipalities of Bangued, Bucay, Dolores, Lagangilang, San Isidro, San Juan, and Tayum while the least affected municipalities came from Langiden, Luba, Malibcong, Penarubia, and Pidigan. The GS Queuing System lessens if not eliminates the crowding of students, which may trigger widespread COVID 19. The study concludes that the GS services, as to duration or time of 30 minutes to one hour are more than enough to contract the virus, and in terms of the venue, it is a potential place where one also contracts and gets the virus. In case that super spread happens from the Graduate School Office, a significant number of infections existed in the municipalities of Lagangilang (19), followed by Bangued and Dolores. Both have 15, and Bucay has 14 students. The students are generally young and a medium risk for COVID-19 infections that may result in hospitalization and unwanted deaths. The domino effect is massive if the GS staff infects a maximum of 5 from a single municipality. The GS Services Digital Queuing System is an added layer to COVID-19 safety and preventive measure in response to COVID-19. The GS office may consider reducing service delivery time to the clienteles. The doors and windows of the office may be opened from time to time to ensure continuous airflow periodic review of the procedures implemented in attending to the needs and requests of the clienteles. The GS Services Digital Queuing System may be adopted by the front-line services and other service-providing agencies and offices to protect and prevent infection that may result in hospitalization or unwanted death.
