Richard F. Mariano

Abstract:

The study delves into conflict management of Universidad de Zamboanga as these are contributory to its success. This study utilized the descriptive-survey method. Self-made questionnaires and standardized questionnaires were used as instruments of data collection. This study was conducted in Zamboanga City where the main campus of Zamboanga Arturo Eustaquio College (ZAEC) now Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) is located. There are two groups of respondents in this study: (1) the administrators and (2) the faculty members from different colleges. The hypothesis was tested using the analysis of variance to determine whether the set means do not differ significantly or whether the sets drawn from the groups have the same means. In the case of significant difference among the respondents’ evaluation, the study determined the difference by using tukey pair wise comparison test. The administrators and faculty members’ evaluations were found to be of great extent on the conflict management; there is still a need for the Universidad De Zamboanga to develop administrative development program. The dimension of experience cuts across all communication contexts; hence, there is an urgency of a more developed administrative program considering the end-products of this study, the students who differ in their cultural, social, ethical, or socio-economic aspects. In schools with a rich mix of culture such as Universidad de Zamboanga, intercultural communication will be especially relevant.
