Abstract:

In compliance with the recommendation of the PAASCU Accreditation Team to have “a regular systematic evaluation of the effectiveness of the different student services…” and to collect data to serve as basis of concerned Student Service Units (SSU’s) in formulating/evaluating action plans to sustain their strengths and to remedy their weaknesses, the UE Caloocan Student Services Committee commissioned a study involving the SSU’s in the UE Caloocan Campus. The Student Affairs Office, in cooperation with the Admissions Office, administered a survey using a Likert type questionnaire to determine the feedback of the students regarding the quality of services being rendered by the different student service offices. The numerical data were analyzed to determine the quality of services per semester per SSU under study, as rated by the students in the different colleges. Using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), the Scheffe Test, and the T-Test, the quality of service of each SSU during the reference semester (1st semester SY 2006-2007) was compared to the quality of their service during the 2nd semester SY 2006-2007, and 1st semester SY 2007-2008 to assess the effectiveness of action plan implementation.
