This correlation study analyzes the results of departmental examinations and the final grades of students enrolled in Fundamentals of Accounting I (AC1&2) and Fundamentals of Accounting II (AC103N) in School Years 2005 to 2008 (2,280 in AC1&2 and 1,224 in AC103N). It found a positive relationship among the AC1&2 variables but an inverse relationship among those of the AC103N. The study concludes that there is a significant correlation between the departmental examination results and the final grades of the students in basic accounting courses in the school years covered by the study.
