Abstract:

This study aimed to examine the curriculum exit of the three batches of the SHS graduates in the Philippines, which was criticized by the different sectors in the country for implementing the K-to-12 curriculum in basic education despite the encouragement of the Department of Education that emphasized the great benefits to the learners’ future careers. With one thousand respondents, a crosssectional retrospective survey method was employed in this study. They have also given their comments about their experiences in their senior high school education, which was thematized in this study. Considering the dearth of literature on the status of the SHS graduates in the country, this study has successfully accounted for the dynamics of the productivity of the SHS graduates in the country where the K-to-12 system is relatively new to the whole basic education system compared to other countries.
