The study is an assessment of the contribution of the National Service Training Program of the University of the East as part of the institution's social responsibility through the delivery of public service to an adopted community. The contributions of the University to national development through the effective implementation of Republic Act 9163, known as the NSTP law, will serve as concrete evidence and sufficient reason for the continuance of the program which started a decade ago. The impact assessment of the objectives and programs of the Gawad Kalinga Group at Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City, and the SM Bridge Group at Barangay Dona Imelda Extension, Quezon City, was conducted by the UE-NSTP faculty with the assistance of their respective NSTP students to find out the extent of the NSTP programs' contribution to the development of the community in terms of economic sustainability, people empowerment, good health conditions, environmental protection, educational assistance, and community beautification. The results were based on interviews of the participants, post- evaluation of the activities and feedback from the program beneficiaries.
