The research focused on the historical evolution of the MAED program in the university’s graduate school, identified the alumni and roster of faculty members, and recognized the program's best practices. Using qualitative research design with historical, archival, and narrative approaches, the study revealed that the MAED program started in 1956 to present. The first master’s program is offered by the Zamboanga A. E. Colleges (ZAEC)/Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) and a candidate status for Level III by the accreditation body. Throughout the years, the program has been expanded to provide teachers the opportunity to obtain a higher degree. The university has honed the teachers’ capacities, which contributed to their career advancement. Subsequently, faculty members of the MAED program demonstrated different leadership styles and integrated the andragogical approach in the teaching and learning process. Today, the program continues to strengthen its faculty by providing continuous training on instruction, improving facilities, creating extension programs, enhancing quality of their research outputs, and others. To ensure proper documentation of the program’s administration and personnel, the study recommends to consistently and completely safekeep the Academic Records of the past deans, key officials, program chairpersons, and faculty of the Master of Arts in Education (MAED) Program of the university. This helps record the history of the program for the benefit of the faculty, students, stakeholders and university as a whole. Moreover, the study proffers to hire qualified external professionals such as School Principals, School Administrators, Division Superintendents, District Supervisors, School Owners, etc., with expertise in different areas of education to provide students with the proper training for their respective majors and specialization. The university may consider strengthening partnerships/collaborations with institutions and research organizations to continuously improve research, pedagogy, and other related fields.
