Maria Cecilia B. Bustarga | Joshua A. Delos Santos
Abstract:
This study evaluated the selected organic restaurants in Laguna, namely, Herb Republic, Sierreza, and The Farm Organics to determine the critical success factors of their food service. Specifically, the study dealt with the profile of the selected organic restaurants in Laguna in terms of their history and menu offered; their critical success factors in terms of competition, management practices, product development, profitability, promotion and customer satisfaction; and how do these critical success factors aid the survivability of these organic restaurants?
The researchers used descriptive research design, both the quantitative and qualitative methods through survey and interview. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were used for data analysis and interpretation. The outcome of the study focused on making guidelines on how to maintain the critical success factors of organic restaurant. Survey with customers revealed that they were strongly satisfied (M=3.55) with the organic restaurants in terms of food quality, atmosphere, service offered, convenience, menu and facility. However, the lack of smoking and parking areas somehow affected their satisfaction on the facilities provided. Overall, the customers’ needs should be considered to reach an even higher level of satisfaction.
