This research identified the communication practices of the indigenous Aetas after establishing a research gap from previous literatures on how Aetas communicate with others. It adopted a descriptive research design and a qualitative approach using immersion, observation, and key informant interviews with the Aetas in Barangay Villa Maria in Porac, Pampanga. Guided by the social constructionism theory to identify the communication practices of the Aetas and its meanings, the research revealed that they use face-to-face communication and mediated communication. Their communication practices are a manifestation of their identity. In other words, they construct meanings that describe their identity and their relationship with others. Future researchers may investigate the communication practices of other groups of indigenous peoples to understand their meanings.
