Abstract:

The research assessed the level of effectiveness of Hayuma newsletter in disseminating information in Barangay Masili, Calamba Laguna. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used in this descriptive research. Through survey, it was found out from the 77 residents of Masili that Hayuma newsletter has a high level of effectiveness. Based on the results of the focus group discussion involving six barangay officials, the newsletter was effective, but it could still be improved by adding colors and adjusting its size. Likert Scale and Ordinal level were used for quantitative data while thematic analysis was employed for qualitative data. The study was guided by Everett Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovation theory.
