This study aimed to find out the relationship of Leadership characteristics of the department heads in the employee’s job satisfaction through the use of survey questionnaires for the 32 respondents, the questionnaire intends to assess the leadership characteristics of their department head by their subordinates. The subordinates also assessed their job satisfaction through the questionnaires developed by the researchers. Using descriptive and evaluative research designs to describe, explain and validate findings, the study gathered data through quantitative techniques. Based on the results, the researchers concluded that the transformational and transactional leadership style are related to the job satisfaction of the employees, which may result in their staying on the job. The employees perceive leadership as a factor for their job satisfaction. The employees are satisfied with how their leaders lead them to achieve their common goal and also grow on their jobs. For the employers it also shows that most of them believe that leadership is a factor that motivates employees to become more productive and become more consistent in delivering work outputs that meet the company standards. This study provides data that can serve as a basis for future researchers to come up with a strategic way to improve leadership styles and encourage employees to stay on the job.
