Work Motivation of Millennial Employees of Company ABC as Basis of Retention Program

Abstract:

The population of millennials in organizations has grown rapidly. Millennial employees play an important role in the success or failure of any organization and for that they have also been a big problem in the organization. One of the issues of every organization is the performance and commitment of millennial employees. The importance of motivation in retaining millennial employees cannot be over-emphasized. Therefore, keeping the millennial employees continues to remain a challenge for most organizations, for they are known to be job-hoppers. This study aimed to identify the highest and lowest factors that affect the work motivation of millennial employee and give recommendations and interventions for the retention program of Company ABC. Primary data were collected through survey questionnaires administered to 91 respondents.
