Feasibility Study of Drive-Thru Banking System

Abstract:

This research determined the feasibility of implementing a drive-thru banking system in the Philippines. Drive-thru banking system is implemented in different countries like USA (United States of America), United Kingdom, France and Germany and is proven to provide convenience through an alternative way of making bank transactions. No research has been conducted so far about a drive-thru banking system in the Philippines. The researchers found that implementing a drive-thru banking could help Filipinos have an easier access to financial services, and thereby leading to financial inclusion. The drive-thru machine can use modern technology like touchscreen kiosks and mobile smartphones. Drive-thru banking system has the potential to increase revenue or reduce operational costs of the banks. The study focused on deposit and withdrawal transactions. Future researchers may conduct investigations on digital banking tools like mobile banking and online banking.
