Abstract:

Previous research showed that there is an underlying risk of having Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD) due to prolonged sitting at work. The recurring incidents of lower back pain may develop into severe illnesses and disabilities. To provide a solution to this problem, this study focused on the production and marketing of lumbar belt support made from thermoplastic elastomer. The product is composed of recycled thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), viscosity “memory” foam, and buckle-type belt. It has an initial market share of 15.30% in the first year of operation and is expected to increase in the successive years. For its capital investment capital, the project will need PHP 8,571,398.92. This investment will be recovered after 2.01 years. The implementation of this proposed project will generate income and will help lessen the number of unemployed Filipinos.
