Production and Marketing of an Ergonomically Designed Gloves using Acrylic Fiber and Polyester Fiber

Abstract:

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a common condition that causes pain in the hand and arm. This occurs when a person often puts too much pressure on the hand in performing a specific job. There are expensive treatments that would help in improving the condition of those who have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. The methods used in treating the syndrome often costs thousands, hindering people from considering getting proper treatments for their condition. If not treated, this syndrome often leads to numbness of the whole arm that has carpal tunnel syndrome. One popular method used to reduce and avoid having carpal tunnel syndrome is by using a modified compression glove. Wearing the glove can lessen the pressure on the hand when doing a specific job. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to create affordable compression gloves to help those who are suffering from the carpal tunnel syndrome prevent or improve their health condition.
