Currently, technology used for travelling has been innovative since the tourists and other end-users demand an easier way to catch up with the latest information regarding tourism. This technology is experienced through the different applications like “Google Maps” and “Waze” which help the users to reach their desired destinations easily. The end- users, however, further want to discover the beauty of their own place by raising their awareness on the different destinations through the help of the applications. With this, the researchers took part in the improvement of the current state by means of developing a system that would respond to the needs of the end-users. LIST or Locator Information System for Tourists is an application that generates the shortest path towards the desired destination of the tourists. To make this application, the researchers gathered facts from literatures and primary data from sixty respondents from the four districts of Laguna to evaluate the functionality, efficiency and reliability of the system. Based on the results of the conducted survey, the researchers concluded that Johnson’s algorithm is effective in finding the shortest path possible in determining the desired tourist destination as well as in providing information about it. Further improvements, however, were still recommended to be made by the future researchers to make this application more effective.
