Human Face Recognition for Home Security Monitoring with SMS Notification

Abstract:

Face recognition is a biometric programming application prepared to distinctly distinguish or check a human’s facial identity and break down examples based on the individual's facial frameworks. This study developed a security monitoring system for home with face recognition and SMS notification. The system will detect if there is an intruder in one’s private property. The system will use a CCTV surveillance camera for the real time monitoring of the property, send a real time SMS alert to the homeowner if the face recognition detects a trespasser, provide an internet storage wherein all the recorded video footages from the CCTV will be stored. It is portable, and can be accessed and modified through the internet. Hence, this study can be of help to homeowners, private property owners, and business property owners as the system will make the security monitoring more advanced and innovative.
