Abstract:

The Management Information System Office (MISO) of Provincial Capitol of Laguna coordinates with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) by providing TESDA courses and certification to those who meet the competency standards. Currently, TESDA issues a tamper-proof card called National Certificate. The certification is one of the important requirements to find a job and it is required by employers such as recruitment agencies, private companies, and foreign employers for Filipinos seeking to work local or abroad. TESDA courses involve the processes of registration, scheduling, SMS notification, document monitoring, grading, reporting, and uploading of training materials. This research aimed to help MISO to simplify the difficult and time-consuming tasks of registration, scheduling, notification, and securing the safety of the applicant’s data. Using the descriptive research method to gather the responses and feedback from the system’s supposed users, specifically, the MISO personnel, the researchers found that the system developed could help MISO TESDA to manage their processes in the enrolled course easily and efficiently. The researchers recommended to the future researchers to improve the system by introducing an online application of uploading of requirements of TESDA applicants, of taking and submitting online quizzes, seatwork, and assignments to facilitate the tasks of the learners, specially, those from distant places. Moreover, having the data visualization of the system may be considered by the future researchers to enhance the current system’s capabilities.
