The Correlation of Workplace Diversity and Employee Work Performance in ABC Company

Abstract:

This study determined the relationship of workplace diversity and employee work performance in Company ABC. Workplace diversity is an environment in the work organization where employees are different from each other in terms of but not limited to religious beliefs, political beliefs, age, gender, ethnicity, educational attainment and background, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, and geographic location. There are three dimensions in diversity - primary, secondary, and organizational. The researchers selected some respondents from Company ABC and sought their idea on how diversity in the workplace affects their work performance. Survey and interview were used to gather the data needed in the study. The data collected were tallied and categorized according to the diversity dimension. It was recommended that the findings of the study be used in improving the organization’s approach to workplace diversity and in promoting fair treatment to their employees regardless of their gender, age, religion, educational attainment, and civil status.
