Abstract:

This study aimed to provide a paperless attendance system to replace the conventional method of taking attendance. The research was completed through in-depth research and qualitative method of data collection. To gather enough information to analyze and design the system, internet and library researches were carefully done and a survey with students and instructors was conducted. The main objective of the system was to generate attendance records that are accessible via the internet as well as to aid the instructors to take the attendance of students in an easier and faster way. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a wireless communication technologywhich uses radio waves to read and collect stored information on an RFID tag. RFID readers can scan tags in milliseconds and work automatically for the convenience of the users.
