This study aimed to improve the existing exhaust system in the tinning room of Gemphil Technologies, Inc., specifically, to develop possible alternatives in improving the exhaust system, to calculate the costs of each proposed alternative, and to determine the most economical and efficient method in improving the exhaust system in the tinning room. The study found that the problem was the occurrence of fog in each station of the manual tinning process. The present exhaust system is not sufficient to discharge the hazardous fumes produced. Data and information were obtained through primary and secondary sources to provide enough data and information relevant to the study. The researchers recommended alternative solutions to solve the problem regarding the exhaust system in the tinning room. In each alternative, appropriate design computations, figures, economic study and diagrams were shown. In the selection of the best alternative solution, efficiency, feasibility and practicality were considered.
